Careers:

We have a current opening for a Materials Coordinator. This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of material, both physically and in materials management systems, in accordance with production and shipping schedules for PNI's automated sensor production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisor's priorities.
  • Review production schedules and confer with supervisor to determine material requirements.
  • Stage materials for production according to production schedules.
  • Receive incoming and inspect incoming materials according to established quality control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts at all times, and ensure inventory is accurately tracked in materials management systems.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Operates calibration software equipment to perform calibration testing of products and RMAs 
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with PNI Safety Program and local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A.A. degree and one year experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Communication skills to interact with carriers and intra-­‐departmentally
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities.
  • Proficient on Word, Excel and an ERP system (preferably IFS).
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

We have an immediate opening for an Automation Sensor Assembly Line Manager. This new position will be responsible for the effective 24/7 operation of the organization’s automated sensor manufacturing line including sustaining engineering and operations. Oversees areas including production, materials coordination, maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality. Sets manufacturing strategy and objectives to ensure attainment of the assembly line’s goals.  Directs the activities associated with production and manufacturing. Develops and establishes manufacturing and production plans, schedules, and targets utilizing the organization’s enterprise resource planning system. Ensures that all parts, assemblies, and final products are produced on schedule and according to established requirements. Keeps management informed of manufacturing line’s progress and problems. Responsible for resource allocation, including budget and personnel. Stays current on new technologies in manufacturing engineering and operations.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Manages the development and implementation of the most efficient manufacturing process methods, parameters, and procedures to ensure that product capacity, quality and delivery dates of PNI’s orders are predictable and reliable
  • Interfaces with R&D to identify potential process improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and ensure product quality
  • Ensures that products built on the automated sensor assembly line meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards
  • Seizes opportunities to eliminate waste and reduce product manufacturing costs using proven LEAN manufacturing principles and with complete understanding of the cost to manufacture PNI’s products
  • Oversee data review from line operations to proactively troubleshoot and identify equipment, process and quality problems utilizing disciplined root cause analysis techniques, implementing corrective/preventive measures and preventing future production process problems
  • Analyzes existing processes utilizing “data driven” approaches in recommending process changes in accordance with PNI configuration control procedures
  • Monitors process changes and improvements implemented to ensure deliverables were achieved
  • Specifies, recommends and justifies new capital equipment, process or Quality Assurance/Control changes to improve consistency of product quality and meeting PNI specifications
  • Develops and communicates project plans, schedules, cost, and progress to management
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with PNI Safety Program and local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

Supervises Technicians, Operators, Materials Coordinator. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years high volume manufacturing experience, preferably in a 24/7 electronic component or modules environment
  • At least 5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Thorough knowledge applying Lean Manufacturing tools (Green Belt/Black Belt a plus)
  • Solid history of cost reduction achievements
  • Disciplined problem solving & analytical skills
  • Hands-on experience working in ISO/AS/QS9000 environment
  • Hands-on experience working in environment using fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning System (IFS, BAAN, Oracle, etc.)
  • Rapid learner and able to apply new manufacturing technology/concepts to current processes

We have an immediate opening for an ERP Analyst. This new position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the ERP system to most effectively represent PNI’s manufacturing process, financial activities, sales forecast and order fulfillment.  This role will be responsible for the strategic utilization of existing ERP software and the implementation of new modules to meet the organization's goals. This role will be a positive influence in working with internal departments to ensure technology solutions meet business and manufacturing needs.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinates every aspect of the ERP system implementation.​  Responsible for driving ERP implementation activities, throughout the organization, by planning, leading, facilitating and training.​
  • After implementation, the individual will be responsible for day-to-day management of the ERP system with the assistance of internal and external resources.​ This includes installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of our company ERP system for both hardware and software.
  • Ongoing development and continuous improvement of the ERP system and related applications.
  • Coordinates and drives the analysis, design, implementation, and testing of system requirements.
  • Develops system documentation as well as user training materials.
  • Performs database administration and data integrity audits.
  • Develops reporting for users on a regular and an ad-hoc basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience. Degrees in Computer Science, Information System Engineering or other relevant field of study preferred. Advanced degrees will be considered a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience with IFS or other ERP System(s) in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in IT-related implementation projects, including Analysis, Design, Testing, Deployment, go live support
  • Experience in strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of Business Improvement programs using ERP systems
  • Full cycle ERP project management experience preferred within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and proven results
  • Ability to manage complexity and comfort with ambiguity
