We have a current opening for a Materials Coordinator. This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of material, both physically and in materials management systems, in accordance with production and shipping schedules for PNI's automated sensor production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisor's priorities.
- Review production schedules and confer with supervisor to determine material requirements.
- Stage materials for production according to production schedules.
- Receive incoming and inspect incoming materials according to established quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts at all times, and ensure inventory is accurately tracked in materials management systems.
- Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
- Operates calibration software equipment to perform calibration testing of products and RMAs
- Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with PNI Safety Program and local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A.A. degree and one year experience or equivalent.
- Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices
- Communication skills to interact with carriers and intra-‐departmentally
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities.
- Proficient on Word, Excel and an ERP system (preferably IFS).
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Lift and move a maximum of 50 pounds without assistance.
- Climb a ladder to a height of at least 20 feet.
- Walk, bend, and climb stairs.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Wear appropriate safety equipment.
