CompassPoint V2XE
CompassPoint V2Xe is a pre-programmed 2-axis digital compass module with an onboard microprocessor for true plug-and-play compass magnetic sensor and magnetometer functionality.
CompassPoint V2Xe allows designers to bypass the time and expense required to build a 2-axis digital compass from scratch. It offers high resolution and azimuth accuracy, temperature, stabilization, and an all-digital interface. The V2Xe's non-volatile memory retains accurate calibration even when it's powered down.
PNI's magneto-inductive sensor technology provides low power consumption, high signal/noise immunity under all conditions, and software-configurable resolution and field measurement range, CompassPoint V2Xe is the perfect solution for adding compass heading functionality to virtually any application — from hobbyist projects and consumer electronics prototypes to high-performance solid-state navigation sensor and magnetometer equipment.

V2Xe Module
The V2Xe Developer's Kit contains a V2Xe Module, PNI CommBoard, computer interface cable and CD containing manuals and evaluation software. This kit allows the user to quickly evaluate the V2Xe in a 2-axis magnetometer or compass application.
The PNI CommBoard is an evaluation tool which provides SPI to RS-232 conversion of PNI products and also contains algorithms for calibration, distortion correction and data collection for those products which do not include a controller. The PNI CommBoard with included cable and application software allows the user to be up and testing in a matter of minutes to evaluate PNI's technology reducing the initial development cost and time.
