Legacy Products TCM LEGACY
PNI will continue to build and support these TCM's, but for new designs, the TCM-XB or the Prime are recommended.
The TCM family of sensor modules combines PNI's patented magneto-inductive sensors with a 3-axis MEMS accelerometer in a single temperature- and noice-stabilized design that's inherently free of offset drift. Using PNI's proprietary hard- and soft-iron correction algorithms, PNI TCMs calibrate out most magnetic anomalies for repeatable, high-resolution measurement across a broad range of navigation ann tracking applications.
Even in the most demanding conditions and environments, PNI TCMs deliver unmatched performance, making them ideal for application such as high performance ROV navigation, targeting systems, GPS system navigation, vehicle sensing and tracking, drilling and downhole applications, robotics and more.

TCM2.5 and TCM2.6: Cost-effective, reliable compass heading with PNI ASCII Interface
TCM3: Extended tilt range and 0.5° accuracy with PNI Binary Interface.

This kit allows the user to get the module up and running in minutes. Note: the cable included in this kit is only for use with TCM 2.5 modules; other TCM 2.6/3/5 modules require a different cable.

TCM Module
The computer interface cable is an 18" finished cable with the module mating connector on one side and a DB9 connector on the other for connecting directly to a serial port. This cable is for use only with the TCM 2.5.
The pigtail interface cable is an 18" unfinished single ended cable with the module mating connector on one side and un-terminated wires on the other for the installed system integration. This cable is for use only with the TCM 2.5.
The evaluation cable is a 6' finished cable with the module mating connector on one side and a DB9 connector on the other for connecting directly to a serial port. This cable is for use with the TCM 2.6/3/5/6 and Prime Compass Modules.
The pigtailed interface cable is an 18" cable with the module's mating connector on one end and unterminated wires on the other end for integration with the user's system. This cable is for use with the TCM 2.6/3/5/6 and Prime Modules.
